Assessment is predominantly internal, with only one standard assessed in the November NCEA examination.
Students who wish to study Level 2 Mathematics in Year 12 will need to pass the externally assessed standard as well as enter and pass the Algebra Common Assessment Task. Entries for this Algebra task will be taken early in term three and the assessment will be sat in the third week in September.
11MAT - Mathematics

This course is a continuation of the study of mathematical processes, number, measurement, geometry, algebra and statistics. 11MAT is a full Year 11 Mathematics course which enables students to proceed to Year 12 Mathematics. It allows students to achieve both the 10 credits required for Level 1 Numeracy and University Entrance numeracy.
11MAX - Mathematics Extension
Students in this course cover all of the material covered in the 11MAT course. During the year students will complete one NCEA internal assessment. They also sit the same four externally assessed standards as the 11MAT course.
