NCEA Level 1 Visual Arts Design and Photography
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Ms F. Dwyer.
Students will produce digital art based in Design and Photography practice within a visual art context. Students will study a range of artist models and apply the knowledge, skills and techniques learned in their own practical work. Students will complete three achievement standards during the year. Please note that both 11ADP and 11ART offer the same external standards. If you select both you will gain a maximum of 20 credits.

Recommended Prior Learning
There are no entry requirements but Year 10 Art is highly recommended. If students wish to take both 11ADP and 11ART this is possible, but there will 20 credits available across both subjects. Please see your dean to discuss.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
There is a cost of $33 (TBC) which contributes towards art materials and folio boards. Students will need a camera (DSLR or mirrorless), SD card, USB storage device and A3 clearfile. All computers and software are provided. In addition to this the Adobe Creative Cloud Software will be available for students to purchase for approximately $25, for use on their own laptop or home computer.
