NCEA Level 3 Dance
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mrs G. Hannan.
Level 3 Dance is a course that offers students opportunities to perform, choreograph their own dance works and explore a range of dance styles. Students have choice in what styles they wish to study and can work independently. They will extend their practical dance knowledge and skills from Level 2 Dance.
There is also a potential opportunity to submit a portfolio of work for Dance Scholarship.
Recommended Prior Learning
Approval from the HOD Mrs. Hannan if you did not take Level 2 dance
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
$20 for outside dance tutors. Students are also expected to have the Burnside Dance uniform which consists of a long or short sleeve t shirt and anything black on the lower half ie) tights, shorts, pants.
Credit Information
You will be assessed in this course through all or a selection of the standards listed below.
This course is eligible for subject endorsement.
This course is approved for University Entrance.

Only students engaged in learning and achievement derived from Te Marautanga o Aotearoa are eligible to be awarded these subjects as part of the requirement for 14 credits in each of three subjects.
