Year 9 Chinese Half Year

Mandarin Half Year Course. The Year 9 half year course focuses on building communicative skills in Chinese Mandarin in all essential areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Cultural competency and some modern and historical content is also covered. Students planning to study Year 10 Chinese the following year should not take the half year course. It is essential that they take the full year course in Year 9 in order to prepare appropriately for Year 10.
Please note that this course is designed for beginning students of Chinese, or for those who have a limited background in the language. The course is not designed to cater for students who already have a high level of Chinese proficiency.

Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
There is a course contribution of $5 to cover learning resources.
Students are expected to supply their own stationary.

No prior learning of Chinese Mandarin is necessary.
