This Level 1 NCEA course covers the study and use of written and spoken language, the development and command of written language, and an understanding and critical awareness of a range of texts and genres.
All the Standards in this course are internally assessed and contribute to Level 1 Literacy.
Extensive supplementary revision of grammar and vocabulary extension activities will be expected beyond the classroom to lay the foundation for Level 1 writing.
Successful completion of 10ESL course or with the approval of the HOD ESOL. This course has been specifically designed for ESOL(English for Speakers of Other Languages) students.
