Course Description

The course provides opportunities for personal, social, cultural and equity development by including students in activities which require individual endeavour and interaction with others. We offer 19 credits including literacy credits. 

It covers a wide range of practical activities including Running, Swimming, Skiing, Snowboarding, Raft Building, Team Sports. It includes a three day Ski Trip to a New Zealand ski field with lessons and accommodation provided. 

We cover a variety of areas including:

- Biomechanics

- Anatomy

- Exercise Physiology

- Methods and principles of training

- Biophysical Principles

- Risk Management

- Social Responsibility and Values

Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

Duathlon Pool hire approximately $30.00. The pool hire costs are optional but are an integral part of teaching and learning. The practical skills component of the course will require payment of approximately $350 for a three day Ski camp.
