The course provides opportunities for personal, social, cultural and equity development by including students in activities which require individual endeavour and interaction with others.
Term 1- Duathlon
Term 2- Relevance for self, others and society - pilates / boxing
Term 3- Risk Assessment and Management
Term 4 (and throughout the year)- Social Responsibility
Term 1
Introduction to 2.8 Making it Happen. 2.4 Pre test and post test for the Duathlon; 2.3 - design, implement and evaluation a training programme for the Duathlon.
Term 2
Participate in mat pilates and fitness boxing sessions in class and attend a studio session of each in the community. Research societal effects and the impact on yourself, and others of the activity.
Start Risk Management.
2.8 Making it happen coaching and participating.
Term 3
Risk management - looking at preparing a risk management system for the ski trip to Mt Lyford. - 2.7 asssessment.
2.4 - skiing / snowboarding practical assessment.

Contributions and Equipment/StationeryThe practical skills component of the course will require payment of approximately $410 for the 3 day ski trip and $50 for the pilates and boxing studio sessions.
