Course Description

The Year 13 Sport Leadership and Performance Course aims to:
- Provide students with the opportunity to gain qualifications relevant to the Sport, Fitness, and Recreation Industry. Students can gain Unit Standards that can be credited towards Tertiary Qualifications.
- Allow students the opportunity to develop their understanding and proficiency in leadership skills and qualities. These skills will be learned through their application to sports coaching and Challenge Ropes Course context.
- Develop knowledge about specific leadership roles in sport such as coaching, and apply these skills in a practical setting.
- Encourage students to develop positive attitudes towards healthy lifestyles, and achieve fitness goals which they set for themselves. This will be achieved through a class based objective that will aim to have a positive impact on the community.
