NCEA Level 1 Digital Art
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Ms F. Dwyer.
Students will produce digital art based in Design and Photography practice within a visual art context. Students will study a range of artist models and apply the knowledge, skills and techniques learned in their own practical work. Students will complete three Achievement Standards during the year. This will include an extensive external Achievement Standard consisting of a 2 x panel folio where students will demonstrate work within the disciplines of Design and Photography.

Year 11 Digital Art leads directly to the senior specialist Art disciplines of Design, Photography, Painting, Sculpture and Printmaking.

Recommended Prior Learning
There are no entry requirements but Year 10 Art is highly recommended.
Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
There is a cost of $33 (TBC) which contributes towards art materials and folio boards. Students will need either a camera or a phone camera. All computers and software are provided. In addition to this the Adobe Creative Cloud Software will be available for students to purchase for approximately $25, for use on their own laptop or home computer.
