Course Description

The Year 11 Construction course offers students a blend of Level 1 Achievement Standards and Level 2 Unit Standards in order to gain a broad range of construction knowledge and skills.
Students will gain specialized knowledge and experience during the design, planning and construction of various projects such as garden furniture and a timber deck. Most students will select a course of between 16 and 22 credits.
The assessment tasks are a combination of skills and theory. The course also provides direction for tertiary and career opportunities.

Contributions and Equipment/Stationery
Costs will vary according to each student's choice of projects. A $110.00 fee will be charged with the school fees to cover the cost of the students take-home project materials.
Pathway
Level 1 Building and Construction course will provide students with entry level skills and knowledge which could lead to higher level courses and entry to trade related employment.
