NCEA Level 3 Building and Construction
Course Description

The Level 3 Building and Construction course is a blend of Achievement and Unit Standards that expands on the knowledge learned in the Level 2 course. The course has a theoretical base with associated design and practical components that enforce this learning.
The students will gain specialised knowledge and experience during the design, planning and construction of both individual and group projects such as decks and landscaping around the school campus.
The skills learnt should assist students in making informed choices about future educational and career options in a wide range of construction and timber related fields.
Students will develop projects which will be manufactured using a wider range of skills and processes.
Pathway
Level 3 Building and Construction course will provide students with comprehensive skills and knowledge in the Construction industry which could lead to higher level tertiary courses and entry to a range of trade related employment.
